New Tutorial Speaker Announced: Almudena Daehin on k6 and AI-Assisted Performance Testing
- 18 Jun 2026
We are pleased to announce Almudena Daehin as a tutorial speaker at SEETEST 2026. A Principal Performance Engineer at SCRM - Lidl International Hub in Barcelona, Almudena brings over 20 years of experience in high-traffic systems, chaos engineering, and system resilience. She is an organizer of WebPerf BCN and an active member of the WOPR community, and has previously presented at conferences including PulpoCon and DevOpsCon.
Her half-day tutorial, taking place on October 6, is titled "K6 Basics in the Age of AI: Introducing MCP-k6 and Building Your k6 Skills".
The session combines a solid grounding in k6 with a look at how AI tooling is reshaping performance testing workflows. Participants will start with the fundamentals - writing script-based performance tests in JavaScript and interpreting core metrics such as latency, throughput, and error rates. From there, the tutorial introduces mcp-k6, an open-source project that connects k6 with AI agents via the Model Context Protocol, enabling test generation through natural language. The session also covers copilot-k6-skills, which demonstrates how curated AI skills can improve the accuracy and context-awareness of scripts generated by tools like GitHub Copilot.
Attendees will leave with practical knowledge of k6 scripting and test design, hands-on experience with AI-assisted test generation, and the skills to critically evaluate and refine AI-produced scripts, combining modern tooling with the domain expertise that performance testing still requires.
