SEETEST 2026 Welcomes Erik van Veenendaal as Tutorial Speaker
- 09 Jun 2026
We are pleased to announce that Erik van Veenendaal will be joining SEETEST 2026 as a tutorial speaker. Erik is a leading international consultant and trainer with decades of experience in software testing and quality management. He is one of the core developers of the TMap testing methodology and the TMMi test improvement model, the author of numerous books and papers in the field, and a recipient of both the European Testing Excellence Award and the ISTQB International Testing Excellence Award.
On October 6, the first day of the conference, Erik will lead a half-day tutorial titled Risk-Based Testing for Agile & DevOps Teams.
The tutorial addresses a practical challenge familiar to many teams: while most projects use some form of risk prioritization, few have a structured approach to product risk assessment. Erik will introduce Risk Poker - a team-based method for identifying and analyzing product risks in Agile and DevOps contexts - and show how its outcomes can be used to define a differentiated test approach, including a concise one-page sprint test plan. Participants will learn from real-world experiences, including problems encountered and results achieved.
Attendees can expect to leave with a solid understanding of risk-based testing principles, the ability to facilitate a risk assessment with their team, and practical tools for optimizing test effort in both Agile and DevOps environments.
