Keynote Speakers for SEETEST 2025 are Now Announced!
- 05 Jun 2025

We are thrilled to reveal the keynote speakers for this year’s SEETEST 2025 conference, taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria on September 25-26. Two of the most prominent voices in software testing and quality engineering will be taking the stage to explore the rapidly evolving world of AI and its impact on our industry.
Dr. Klaudia Dussa-Zieger – President of ISTQB®, Germany
Keynote: LLMs and Test Automation
Dr. Klaudia Dussa-Zieger brings decades of experience in software testing, process improvement, and standardization to SEETEST 2025. As President of ISTQB® and head of the AI Taskforce, she is a key figure shaping the future of testing in the AI era.
In her keynote, Dr. Dussa-Zieger will guide us through the complex landscape of Large Language Models (LLMs) - from foundational concepts like tokens and embeddings to cutting-edge techniques such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning. With a strong focus on practical applications, she will demonstrate how LLMs can support the entire testing lifecycle - from test case specification to automated execution - using real-world examples from regulated environments. Attendees will gain valuable insight into how testers can collaborate effectively with AI tools such as Claude 3.5 and Llama 3.0 to enhance both quality and efficiency.
Rik Marselis - Principal Quality Consultant, Sogeti, Netherlands
Keynote: Five Reasons Why You Should NOT Use GenAI
A familiar and respected name in the international testing community, Rik Marselis returns to SEETEST with his signature mix of insight, wit, and real-world experience. As a leading figure at Sogeti and a recipient of the ISTQB Software Testing Excellence Award, Rik is known for challenging conventional thinking in quality engineering.
In his keynote, he’ll ask a bold question: Should we really be using Generative AI for everything? Drawing from his hands-on experience with both AI and software testing, Rik will address the critical risks of GenAI, including bias, over-automation, hallucinations, privacy concerns, and the all-too-human issue of prompt misuse. But this is not a one-sided conversation - he’ll also highlight when and how GenAI can be used wisely, especially in text-heavy tasks, reviews, and large-scale data processing. With humor and practicality, Rik will leave you equipped to make smarter, safer decisions about integrating GenAI into your work.
